Puppy love!

Finley and Zane are paying more attention to Tank and Vader and are thinking that they are pretty funny!

 

Dining out!

GG and I took the babies out for lunch! This is their first time to dine out in a restaurant and they did SUPER…beginners luck!!! Of course their first restaurant had to be Mexican so we went to Zocalo!  We got our food to-go just in case we needed to bolt, but no need for that! We even sat there for a few minutes after we finished eating! 

 

5 months

 

Wow! 5 Months! In just the last couple of weeks Finley and Zane are really beginning to move a lot more and are changing every day!

• Finley rolled over from back to tummy for the first time on Monday February 8th  and now rolls over constantly
• Finley has found her feet! 
• Finley sucks on her pointer fingers!
• Zane rolled over from back to tummy for the first time on February 16th. 
• Zane still loves flashing the Hook ’em sign as he sucks his fingers!
• You are both giggling more and more!!
• You are smiling and laughing at Tank and Vader !
• You love our walks in the Baby Bjorn in the evening when daddy gets home!
• You are still sleeping very well at night! Thank you!
• They are eating rice cereal and squash!

 

First Snow!

The snow decided to stick around so that Finley and Zane could see it after their nap! They were just watching it come down!

 

Let it SNOW!

Finley and Zane’s first snow! Too bad they slept through it…not gonna wake a sleeping baby!

Yes, we get excited about the smallest amount of snow but we never see it! As a preschool teacher we would study the weather and we talked about snow, made snowy art project but never got to really experience it! I hope all the little ones at school got a chance to go out and play in the snow! I know I would have taken full advantage of this teachable moment!

Rolly Pollies

Finley is now rolling over just about every time we put her on her back! It is great, however, not at night or nap times.  She has not yet figured out that she can sleep on her tummy!  Oh little girl!

Zane continues to barely move at night! He is rolling a little bit more as well during play time!

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!!!

We rode the Zilker Zephyr for the first time today! Finley and Zane were very entertained and we will definitely go again and again!

Papa Tank arrives!

Papa Tank has come to take Grammy home to NOLA…boohoo!!  Before they leave we will have some fun for sure,  Grammy has been helping my sister since she had baby Woods!!

The bebes and I went over to Sarah’s yesterday to hang out and I got to love on little Woods for a bit while mine napped!

We are taking advantage of this nice weather and going on long walks and playing outside!

We are jealous of all our friends in New Orleans! We hope you all have a fun and safe Mardi Gras!

Squash!

We have determined that we like rice cereal, so I decided to try a new flavor…squash it is! No gagging or spitting it out, so I think it was a success! Besides the mess, they are doing very well with eating!  Only vices…Zane likes to shove his hands in his mouth after every spoonful and Finley is just  distracted by everything!

Yes, we have resorted to feeding them in their diapers…it started off that I would just take off their shirts, but that wasn’t good enough!  I am figuring out that I might need to strip down too as I am covered at the end of it as well! Maybe I’ll just wear whatever color I am feeding them so it blends in!

My new hobby and playdate!

You know how you read a blog and get linked to another and then link to another and so on and so on…well I found this precious onesie craft and decided to try it out! I made 2 last night and think they turned out pretty cute! Finley might be covered in ruffles from now on!

 

Woods, Sarah and Grammy came over to play today! We had so much fun playing!

I wish there was a pause button…

If there was a pause button to pause moments in life I would have used it yesterday!  While nursing, Zane reached across and held Finley’s hand.  It was so sweet!  They held hands for a few minutes until they were done eating! I hope they do it again and again!

Finley and Zane went to their first Super Bowl Party to cheer on the Saints!  Thank you Emily and Brad for hosting!

We are so excited for the Saints and the City of New Orleans!  It was a well deserved win!

“Am I seeing double?” This is what a neighbor asked as we were walking tonight around the ‘hood!  We ran into another neighbor and I had her snap a pic of our family walk!

Earlier in the day we took a nice long walk around Town Lake and saw Jake Gyllenhaal and just missed seeing Matthew McConaughey! What a day! Just trying to get outside as much as we can before it turns cold again this week! I don’t know how people do it up north!

4 month checkup

We got a great report from the doctor today! They did super again until it was time for shots…boohoo!
