Finley is on the move! Looks like momma is gonna have to do a better job at keeping the pantry door closed!

Today we headed to Aunt Sarah’s for a little water fun…or so we thought! Sarah and Blakeley set up the “pool” while I fed the babies, Blakeley ate her lunch and Sarah and I ate ours. Then we dressed all the babies in their swim diapers, put on suits, and headed out. All the babies fed, dressed, and pool set up…sounds perfect right! Wrong. After 30 minutes of prep time we spent a total of 5 minutes out in the water!
Finley took to the water pretty easily but once splashed…burst into tears! Zane didn’t like the water temp! So after 5 minutes I had 2 screaming babies…I dried them off, changed into real diapers, put clothes on, and put them down for a nap! Mommy was wiped out!
Although it wasn’t a huge success, we did learn a lot from the experience!
We did manage to snap a few pics…they looked so cute in their suits!
Blakeley loved it!
All done!
For about 10 minutes we all the babies were asleep at the same time! Ahhh!
I say it every month, but WOW, y’all are changing so much! You make me smile and laugh every day! I love to giggle with you and am so lucky to be able to watch you grow. I love you more and more every day!
You both can scoot so fast on your tummies! I can turn around and you are stuck somewhere! (What do you do when you see your child is stuck…you run for the camera!!!)
Finley is going to be crawling any day now…she is up on her hands and knees rocking, and now also demonstrates the downward dog yoga pose. She is getting frustrated because she wants to crawl but is not quite there!
She is following in her mommy’s footsteps…here is mommy at 5.5 months…
and Finley at 7 months!
Zane is catching up to his sister and is now rocking on his hands and knees! What am I going to do when they are both crawling?!?!?
You are both finding your voice and are playing with new sounds. Finley is really putting consonants together and Zane is playing around with different sounds!
You are both sitting very well. You look so big when you are sitting and playing with your toys! Zane is able to sit for a long time and play while Finley just wants to be on the move!
Blakeley entertaining Zane! He loved it!
So excited to see what next month brings!!!!
Spring time in Texas is just beautiful! There are fields of vivid wildflowers and driving along the highways is just breathtaking! We attempted bluebonnet pics and got a few keepers! They were so distracted by the tall grass and wanted to pull it!
Of course it is close to impossible to catch them both smiling at the same time so here are the ones I got of them with big smiles!!
(No bluebonnets were harmed during this photo shoot…at least not too many!!!)
We are once again taking full advantage of this incredible weather! I would like to this to continue for a very long time…PLEASE!
In the early evening on a pretty day, you can usually find us out front playing and waiting for daddy to come home! They are checking out a neighbor who came over to say hi!
Zane: “What is nibbling on my foot?”
I forgot to post this pic in the Easter post so here it is...First Easter egg hunt!
GG and Grampy came in town Easter weekend…we sure had fun playing with them!
We met up with Ryan, Sarah, Brant, Blakeley and Woods for brunch at Hula Hut! It was a busy brunch but a success nonetheless! It was a great place for brunch as it allowed us to get up walk around if we needed to (which we did)!
I am sure the waiter was thrilled to get this table…
Sweet little Finley!
