Sleepy Tank!

Sweet little Tank has never been an early riser.  We usually have to wake her up in the morning! Vader, on the other hand, is perched at the end of the bed waiting for us to open the bedroom door (his cue that breakfast is coming)! Here is what I found as I was getting ready the other morning! Pure cuteness....
Shhh....

"Please no more flashes! what does a girl have to do to get some sleep around here!"

"Don't you even think of taking the covers off...I am trying to sleep"

"Huh, did you say EAT! I'm up!"

Decisions, decisions...

We are well on our way with the nursery, but have hit a speed bump! Momma can't make up her mind!  It is so funny trying to explain my plan to Gary...bumpers, skirts, curtains are all confusing terms for him!!!! Here are my latest favorite fabric swatches...

16 weeks

Friday will be 16 weeks!! Today I had my 16 week appt and my mother in law came in town to see her grandchildren for the first time! Everything looks great! It is such a relief to hear those words and see them moving and hearts beating.  The doc measured my belly and said that I was measuring as a singleton pregnancy at 22 weeks, wow!

I was hoping that we would get confirmation on the sexes of the babies, but unfortunately we did not.  One little stinker was wanting to keep it a secret a little bit longer! So we will have to wait until May 21st to hopefully know for sure! Again, I will be so happy with whatever they tell me.....I just want to know!!!!

Unfortunately, the ultrasounds are not too comfortable for me.  This is the second time now that I start to get dizzy, start sweating, and feel as if I am going to pass out.  I guess I better give next month's sonographer a heads up that we may need to take frequent breaks.

I should start to feel movement soon and I just can't wait until that first flutter!

14 weeks

So many of you know that I teach 3, 4, and 5 year olds (mixture of typically developing and students with special needs). So we were walking back from the playground on Monday morning and stopped for a second to allow some students to catch up.  Now realize most of my students heads are right at about my belly.  Well, one of my sweet little girls was standing in front of me and pointed to my stomach and said...."You eat lot of food! You tummy's big!" Needless to say my TA's and I die laughing! So far she is the only student who has noticed or at least the only one who has pointed it out to me!!!

So in honor of that quote...another belly pic!

Easter cookies!

We spent a good part of Friday having fun decorating Easter cookies! Sarah had to teach us all the tricks, but I think we caught on pretty fast! Yummy!

When Blakeley saw all the cookies after she woke up, she requested "cookie" right away! She has a sweet tooth like Aunt Shuz!!!

Cribs!

We bought 2 cribs on Saturday!!!  Not at all what I though we would do this Saturday!  I was laying in bed showing Gary the crib that I liked and noticed that they were out of stock so we called and they were being discontinued and there were only 4 left...so we had to act fast! Not only do I think they are perfect, but we could not pass up the clearance price!

They are a bit modern...I keep being drawn to the modern style, so I went with it! YAY! Next big purchase will be the glider.

13 weeks!

We had an appt on Thursday and all went well! We got to see the babies and they were moving all around and were stacked right on top of each other! They are actually starting to look like babies...we saw 5 fingers and feet, so surreal! Things seem to be right on track!

The sonographer was able to make an EARLY prediction of what we are having...looks like there could be pink AND blue in our future!!!!!!!!!!!! She showed us early signs of what could be a girl and boy...all the books were right-only an expert could say at 13 weeks! Even the doc was surprised that she guessed! We will find out for sure in a few weeks! I'm not going shopping yet!

This Friday we hit the 13 week mark...
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce. -Baby Center
