Zane is on the move!

Zane is gonna be chasing Finley around! He is definitely moving forward now! He still scoots backwards a lot!! Here he is… (once again the motivation is the computer)! These babies sure are techies just like their daddy!

Memorial Day weekend!

We have had a great weekend so far! On Saturday we hit up a local outdoor shopping center then played outside for a bit while we watched an afternoon shower from the porch.

On Sunday, the pool was calling, so we headed to Uncle Ryan and Aunt Jan’s pool!! Thanks y’all! It was Finley and Zane’s first time in the pool and they loved it! Whew…Momma is counting on pool time this summer!

Finley has pulled herself up to standing!  Uh-oh!!

I apologize for the annoying commentary…you may want to turn your volume down!

8 Months!

Geez! 8 months old!!! We went to take some pictures before you are both super mobile and Zane was super smiley while Finley left her smile at home! All in all I think we got some keepers!

Finley:

You are crawling…all over the house, under the exersaucer, onto the dog beds, just everywhere!

I love it when you climb up into my lap!

You are pulling to your knees and I know it is just a matter of time until you are pulling to standing!

You have started eating finger foods…you pick it up examine it then daintily place it in your mouth!

You have taken a few sips from a cup with a straw but haven’t quite figured it out yet! We’ll keep trying!

You are saying dada, baba, and just in time for mothers day…mama!!!

 

Zane:

You are a super sitter…you just love to sit and play with your toys!

You are still scooting backwards and get stuck in the funniest places!

You are rocking more and more on you hands and knees…I am sure you will be chasing after your sister soon enough!

You have started eating finger foods too…you can’t stuff it in fast enough!! Too funny!

You are saying dada and baba all the time!

You are starting to hold your own bottle!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is Daddy’s birthday!!! We met Gary and his coworkers for lunch and had a great time visiting with everyone! Finley and Zane could not have been better!

   

GG came too!

GG’s back in Austin!

GG came to visit today and of course she did not come empty handed! Finley and Zane were excited to see her as always!!!

Finley’s new jungle gym!

Finley found a jungle gym in our kitchen!!! As I was fixing their breakfast I looked over and saw this…

She is having so much fun exploring!

Momma’s new toy!!

We play outside in our front yard which is not fenced, so I needed a way to contain the babies now that they are crawling!  I got a great deal on a superyard! Here we are checking it out for the first time!

“Hey! Get me outta here!”

They still enjoyed the outdoors even though they were behind bars!!! 

Faux pool time!

So far we have not enjoyed pool time…so I decided that we need to enjoy the pool first before we introduce the water.  So we are hanging out in the pool sans water!  We are now enjoying playing in the pool…next step is to add the water! Will keep you posted!

Finley’s favorite place is turning out to be the pugs bed…she just wants to climb in with them! It usually ends up that she climbs up and they get outta dodge and go to another bed ! They just love the pugs so much!

We’ve got a crawler!

Finley is full on crawling as of last week! She looks so cute and tiny when she is on the move!  She will now crawl over to me and crawl up into my lap which is so great unless my lap is already spoken for by her brother…then I do my best to accommodate both of them!

Zane is on the move too…only backwards! You’ll see him getting stuck…

Down on the farm…

We pulled out a new toy that Aunt Jan and Uncle Ryan gave them for Christmas…thanks again!!! They were just impressed with the box…

Once mommy assembled it, they had fun checking it out!

Nah…just Finley exploring! No worries Finley was happy as can be under there!

We try to get outside as much as we can.  GG was organizing our garage the last time she was here (THANK YOU!!!) so we decided to help! Here are some hats we found from momma’s teaching days!

Tank and Vader aren’t sure about this new phase! Finley is intruding on their space!!! They are definitely a big motivator for her to move! She wants to play with them!
