Oh deer!!

GG brought some fun Christmas things last week such as snowmen straws, a stuffed Santa, and 2 blow up reindeer! The poor deer have taken a beating though…

We have also made some changes to our decorations…baby proofing our decor this year! The tree has been tied back…

Finley and Zane have been exploring the tree just a bit but thankfully they aren’t too interested in it! Finley even started decorating it…with a DIAPER!

 

I have yet to decorate the tree…I just wanted to see if how Finley and Zane reacted to it! So far so good!

Family fun!

We are so thankful for our friends and family! We had a great Thanksgiving here in Austin with lots of family and friends who came to visit!

We hosted this year and had to make do with what we had…We only brought half of our dishes and such so we opted for plastic (sure made clean up a bit easier)! Oh and I didn’t bring many place mats so I hit up Michael’s for some decorative paper!

We celebrated our friend, Will’s,  first birthday on Sunday with a ride on the Zilker train! It was a beautiful day spent with lots of friends!

I love Christmas time! I love the smells, the sounds, the sights, but one of my very favorite things about Christmas time is the CHIRSTMAS CARDS (photo cards especially)!!! I can’t wait to check the mail every day and open the cards! They are part of my Christmas decor as I display all the cards!

I have been using Shutterfly for my Christmas cards for 6 years, and I will be continuing the tradition this year! In the past I just did the photo paper card, but Shutterfly now offers so much more! I will be choosing a stationary card this year to change things up! There are so many to choose from that I literally have 3 made up right now and am trying to pick!

Colorado

I left last Friday to go out of town without Finley and Zane.  Before this trip, I had not bee away from them for more than about 4 hours.  Needless to say, it was hard on momma and I was boohooing just a bit as I left!  Zane didn’t make it easy when he woke up with his first crusty eye that morning…ugh.  Daddy and GG took great care of them while I was gone and sent me many pics throughout the weekend!

My cousin, Stacy’s, wedding was just beautiful! Boulder + gorgeous Chautauqua Park + great weather = perfect! We got to go on a hike in the Flatirons and enjoyed seeing snow flurries!

Rehearsal dinner…Blakeley shows everyone how to eat a cupcake! I think she liked it! I do have to say they were super yummy and if I could have, I would have licked my plate too!

My initial title was “Who’s the boss?!”, but I thought this was a little more positive! This is what has been happening lately…Zane picks a toy and Finley somehow always ends up with it one way or another!

And no I did not help her on there…she was determined to ride that car! Oh and we have 2 of them, so she could have had her own, but NOPE she wanted the one Zane was on!!
