Christmas Playdate

Allison and the fam came in from Birmingham to celebrate Christmas Texas style! We were so lucky to be able to visit over at Sarah’s for a cookie decorating playdate!  Finley and Zane did not do much decorating, but mommy certainly helped out by cleaning up (aka eating the cookies!!!)! Here are a few pics from the day…

So as I was preparing to leave, I asked Gary to help dress the kiddos.  Can you guess which one Gary dressed?  I was just cracking up at Zane’s outfit! Don’t worry, I put the shirt inside the pants before we left!

Wow how you have grown! I am already finding myself looking back and am amazed at how much you have grown!  You are changing and growing so fast and I am loving being able to watch every little step!

I love your smiles as I greet you in the morning and throughout the day. 

Your coos are just so precious and I love talking with you!

You are still enjoying short tummy times and are able to hold your head up for minutes at a time! You are so strong!

You are beginning to form somewhat of a routine during the day. I am enjoying trying to figure it out and keep up with the changes as you grow! Keeping me on my toes.

I am getting excited about Santa coming for your First Christmas! You have been very good girl and boy! Don’t worry…I helped write out your list!

We are now catching more Zzzzz’s around here because Zane is sleeping through the night (I hope I am not jinxing myself by writing it!).  Finley, you are a little night owl and want to stay up until midnight…we are gonna work on that!

You are a little more independent and will play on your playmat or in your bouncy seat for a bit without mommy needing to hold you all day long! I do still love my cuddle time though and cherish every minute!

You are bringing your hands together and batting at objects and grasping them! It is so fun to watch you work so hard!

I love you more and more every day!

Walkin’!

Because it is warmer this week, I decided to venture out on my own for a walk…I felt like I got a great workout just getting them ready and in the snap-n-go! I was sweating and we hadn’t even begun yet! They did super! We chatted with some neighbors at the end of it and they were very impressed! I look forward to many more walks!!!!!!!

Playdate

Jolyn, Colin, and Amy came over to play yesterday! It was great to visit with everyone! Thanks for playing with us!

Appt update

This morning was Finley and Zane’s 2 month appt (Although they are actually 2.5 months!) Anyway, what a difference a month and a half makes…they did not cry at all…until they got their shot.  They were cooing and smiling when the doctor walked in…she was very impressed! And of course they showed off for her when she put them on their tummies!

Now they are asleep in their car seats…I am not moving them!  Shhh!!!!!!

Stats:

• Zane: 11.7 lbs, 22 1/2 in, 38cm head measurement
• Finley: 11.2 lbs, 22 1/4 in, 37 1/2cm head measurement

GG got these precious holiday footed sleepers and they are so nice and cozy on this cold day! Brrrrr!!

Right after I finished taking pictures of Finley and Zane, Vader hopped up on the chair just like he was ready for his photo shoot!!! Sweet little boy!
