You know when you are a special ed teacher when….

You have data sheets all around your own house!

Some may think I am silly, but I am still tracking when they eat…it is just too hard to remember especially if I feed one or the other solo during the day.

I have also started tracking their sleep to pick up a pattern and try to anticipate their sleepy times! What the data shows…they are still getting sleepy after about an 1.5 of playtime/awake time, their morning nap is the best nap of the day, they are still waking 1-2 times a night for a 5 minute feeding (gotta eliminate these!!)

I love it! So many of the skills we learned as teachers are helpful parenting techniques!

This was the only way I could survive when our twins were younger. At about 5 months they finally fell into a schedule that is repetitive around the same times of the day of mealtimes and napping, so now I don't need to write it down.

I wrote down ALL of Foley's food and naps until she was about 9 or 10 months old...somehow, it made me feel in control of something ;-)

I think you are a genius! Where can I get some of these sheets? I'm 26w with identical boys and I have a two year-old toddler too, I'm going to need all the help I can get. :) Finley and Zane are too too cute for words!

Ha! I STILL write everything down and they're 6 months old because I can't remember which baby did what, and when! Maybe it's because I'm old (35) or because they're twins. I don't know!

Would love to hear more about your sleep techniques. Are your babies sharing a bedroom?
