Update on the bebes!!

We got to see the babies today! It had been a while so it was so good to see them.  They are certainly growing…

He is 2lbs 10 oz.  She is 2lbs 9 oz.  They are in the 60th percentile! YAY!  Their heartbeats were great…she was hiccupping!

The one thing I was nervous about was my cervix.  It is funnelling (beginning to open).  It measured approx 2.something cm… a typical un-effaced un-dialated cervix is approximately 4cm. I have been referred to a perinatologist and hope to get in Mon or Tues to see him.  He will decide on bed rest or cervical cerclage.  I want to keep them in as long as possible, so whatever he thinks will help.  Needless to say  I will be spending the weekend on the couch/in bed as much as possible! Any recommendations for good books or netflix movies would be appreciated!

I’ll let y’all know what I find out! Fingers are crossed!

Hi Suzanne! I got to swim with your sister and niece today!

I have recently read a couple of books that were really good.

The Guersney Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (If you'd like to borrow I'll pass along!)

Eat Pray Love (apparently the whole world has read this already but I enjoyed it alot!)

We really like to rent TV series on Netflix to pass the time, too. Mad Men's Season 3 is coming up so you could catch up on Seasons 1 and 2. I love Mad Men. Also we LOVED Arrested Development and I started watching Weeds on the "watch instantly" feature on netflix and it is funny.

Good luck on your appointment, and try to enjoy your rest!

Hey Tank! I can't believe how big the babies are. That is amazing! You are doing such a great job. I finally watched "He's Just Not That Into You" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic" last week and loved them- although I'm way behind the times so you probably saw both in the theaters. We also love Arrested Development at our house- we own the dvds if you want to borrow. I was just telling Sarah today how adorable the nursery is. Makes me want to completely redo Wright's! Would love to catch up with you and Amy soon- maybe we could do a girl's dinner? We could even bring it to you...in bed :).

I suggest start reading the Twilight series, if you haven't already. Eat, Pray, Love is also a great book!

I may be too late in responding, but Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series is phenomenal. She has written 6 books for it so far, and they're all pretty long. Very good reading if you're looking for something to occupy you!

So glad everything is continuing to go well! Stay rested. :)

I'm already bringing you some books this week. The first is the Diary of a Mad Mom to Be. It's the sequel to the Diary of a Mad Bride to Be that we all read. The second is The Baby Whisperer. Let's hope Jolyn needs that one first.

Keep your feet up! Enjoy doing nothing. I am reading The Time Traveler's Wife. It is really good. I just finished The Godmother and Without a Backwards Glance.
